Okay, technically it’s the first draft of a book, but it’s got pages with words on them and everything! π
I find it’s quite different going through the printed copy, rather than on screen. I’m writing out the changes, and when I’ve been through it a few times, I’ll update the manuscript and see what I’ve got. My word count always tends to be low, but I’m not worrying about that now. My method is to get the bare bones down – what happens, who it happens to, why it happens. Settings and descriptions normally come later.
Still tatting.
This was homework from theΒ Online Tatting Class. Free to join and loads of help and information.
I’m going to see if there is any interest in tatting locally. I’m planning to give lessons if there is enough demand. I’ve got the teaching experience, as well as experience in making loads of mistakes…
Hey, it worked with my music! I can help people who are struggling, because I struggled too, and very often tried all the wrong ways before I found the right one.
All the best to everyone for 2016!
Love the star and am so happy you finished the rough draft – that is a major accomplishment! I recall the sense of satisfaction I used to have when I could print the first draft … somehow, I lost that feeling after book six or seven was published, which is a shame because it means publishing has become a job, not something I do for fun.
Cherish what you had achieved!
Sounds like a fun new adventure! Hope you get a good response.
Thanks! π
You did it! Very happy for you π
Thanks so much! π
That is so awesome! So glad to see you doing things you love. And a wonderful inspiration for all creative types. Great job! π

All the best for the new year! π
Congratulations on the book draft! What a great way to start the new year! And the tatted star is lovely. How big is it? I ask because it takes me forever to finish anything beyond a snowflake
It’s about 4.5″ – 12 cm> I get a lot of my tatting done watching (listening to) TV and waiting for pupils who don’t come for their lessons… π
Bravo! It’s thrilling to hold your book in your hands, isn’t it! Happy dancing for you!
Thanks so much! π
Congratulations. I still need the hard copy to make sense of things.
Oh yes. I can’t scribble on a computer screen and I need to write all over it. π
Congratulations on your book. I wish you much success with it. The tatted star is so pretty!
Thanks so much! π
First draft is good! Keep it up!
